I stayed up all night, knitting the Fake Isle Hat. I will take pictures tomorrow.

The hat turned out too tall, even though I knitted the smaller version, so next time I will try to eliminate some rows, probably the CC stripes. Also, I will try to make a hat where there is actually more contrast between the MC and the CC. :P

Icarus Again

Cast on for Icarus again. Hopefully, I'll be more successful with it this time around.

Meanwhile, I've been knitting quite a few different things. I finished a pair of Jaywalkers, Attack of the Killer Pom-Pom Hat (minus the pom-pom), a pair of Dashing and a pair of Knucks that I finished today. See the pictures here.

I also still have a few things on the needles.

Dashing

I finished the Dashing Fingerless gloves for a friend of mine. If you thought knitting with DPNs was horrible, try knitting with DPNs and make cables. No fun. No fun at all. I need to practise this technique, I'm just not very satisfied with the restult.

Icarus Falls

I frogged the Icarus Shawl again. For the third or fourth time, I think. I keep ending up with either too many or too few stitches when I get to the repeats and I have no idea why or how. So... For now I'm going to try and finish the Jaywalkers I'm making for a friend and then see about trying this shawl again.

Well, I'm reminded why I'm just a big fan of Blogger. I had already set up a blog some time ago that I never used, but which proves impossible to make a new blog with the same email. So, Comrade Charlie Knits is abandoned and The Knitting Comrade has arisen. Good thing I hadn't made too many posts on the other blog...
